Jello

1 cup cold concentrated juice (grape, pineapple, or cherry juices work well)
1 cup boiling juice or water
1 tablespoon gelatin

Soak the gelatin in the cold juice, then add the hot juice. Stir till dissolved and refrigerate. If you have concentrated juice, then use one cup hot water instead of the hot juice. If your juice is not sweet like blackberry or strawberry, then you will want to add some sugar or stevia to sweeten it to your taste. You might want to use Cool Whip Topping with this Jello.

Pioneer Mom's note: Store-bought jello is nothing more than a little sugar, artificial flavoring and coloring with gelatin. This homemade version is a much better choice when it comes to health concerns. The texture is the same, only the color is not as bright. Our children don't mind at all!

  1. Yes, you can get gelatin here. You can get almost anything here. Some things are more expensive than in the US, but that is what we have to live with if we live in Belize. It balances out in other areas.
